Overview

We produced the “LIGHT OF HOPE—Spreading Light of Hope” an experiential interactive illumination, as part of “Yokohama Milaight—Illuminating the Future, City of Light,” one of the largest illuminations in the Yokohama area, covering approximately 1.5 km from Yokohama Station’s east exit to the Grand Mall Park and on to Sakura Street.

In the Grand Mall Park’s Art Plaza, we created an interactive illumination trellis where visitors could “touch” snowflakes projected on the floor of the trellis to make a “stardust of hope” swirl around while the lights shimmered in sync with sounds. The light-enveloped trellis released rays of hope to alleviate people’s concerns for the post-Covid “new normal” and conveyed a sense of hope for the future.
